Born in Houston, Texas and currently based in Austin, Chayla Cooper, known artistically as Chay CEO, has been crafting stories through music since the age of 7. What began as poetry evolved into songwriting influenced by the heartfelt ballads of Babyface, Brandy, Beyonce, Aaliyah, Usher, and Dru Hill. From early on, Chay wasn’t just writing lyrics, she was laying the foundation for a legacy.

Driven by her vision to own and shape her creative world, she studied Film and Digital Media at Baylor University to better understand the business and technical sides of the music industry. While there, she engineered for local artists and released her own album under the name The Spicy 1, gaining campus acclaim and performance experience.

Now performing as Chay CEO, she embodies the rare mix of artist and entrepreneur. Her sound blends emotional depth with refined confidence; hip-hop and R&B with grounded storytelling and smooth delivery. From her debut The Sleeq Life EP to her latest release No Shade All Heat, Chay continues to curate moods rather than just songs. Her music is designed to be felt.
